2025-11-06 14:43:29 +0000 UTCOh i forgot to comment about the arcane... the arcane is supposed to be hard to understand, because it's something that didn't exist before the netflix series (i think) and it's the whole focus of the story, that's why they chose to call it Arcane, pretty generic but they probably thought it sounded good which it does. Oh and no, Hextech is not refined Arcane, arcane isn't supposed to exist in the first place, Jayce didn't take it under consideration it just happened, they thought it could be useful at first and then realized it was a problem when it was too late, now Viktor is one with the Arcane and the reactor thingamabob in the underground is collapsing, as Heimer said it's the universe talking back after being poked too much.

2025-11-04 19:46:00 +0000 UTCYou guys seem a bit confused about the many different kinds of powers so i think i can clear up some of the confusion: Shimmer (Purple) is nothing more than a fictional performance-enhancing drug; Hextech is some sort of electricity equivalent, yes it's a bit more magical than that but it's not pure magic, it's more of a positively charged crystal that can be used to power up tools and machines, hence "hex" and "tech"; Magic, which hasn't been shown much, is a way more generic field and it's composed of many different types, for example the one that Jayce has been trying to recreate since the beginning of the series is Hex or Runic Magic, it uses an ancient language that "speaks to the universe" and invokes it's powers, it was shown in one of the first episodes in the scene with the mysterious mage character teleporting jayce and his mother out of the snowy place (possibly the Freljord but i'm not sure) to save them. It's important to specify that this magic has NOTHING to do with the red magic used by the Black Rose, which at this point in time i'm not gonna explain yet cause they don't reveal enough, would be a bit of a spoiler. Hope this helps you guys, remember jayce is not using magic, he's recreating it with science.
