I feel like most of your main characters have cute moments of “Yes, going along with this specific thing is definitely going to help me out of this situation”. Yet few are quite as endearingly committed to telling themself that narrative as Meredith, who is definitely not a pet, and whose plan to assert herself as the tutor in charge has no flaws. Collared, undressing her owner, kissing her to earn speaking privileges, and handling all of the emotional processing that goes along with that like a champ. Oh this story just continues to delight ^^
