Superficially, she serves as an example of the alvaji as a
whole: Pansexual, hypersexual and with a much higher than average chance
of being transgender compared to the other first-gen species (a
whopping 45 percent, though only two percent of them choose to alter
their genitalia). What makes her stand out, however, is her
unusually-high magical aptitude and thirst for knowledge - probably why
she stood out among the rest of the candidates and was granted the head
role in the Grand Librarium.
Though this position is one of the most highly respected ones
in their (mostly informal) social structure, it is also the least
coveted. After all, regardless of how much power and influence the
person has in terms of politics and interspecies diplomatic relations,
and despite all the perks this job grants (particularly the access to
tens of thousands of millenia’s worth of knowledge from all recorded
sapients, as well as a temporary role in the gods’ bureaucratic
processes and management of the afterlife), the 25,000-year shift is
particularly taxing to an alva’s mental health, with resignation not
being an option.
Though most of the alvaji who take the role and make it out
alive express no regret in their decision, they nonetheless unanimously
refuse to ever have to endure the ordeal ever again.
I'm probably not gonna be doing much with her at the moment outside of using her as a practice/warm-up subject, but since I've been drawing her relatively often I should probably post something regarding her, even if it's not personality stuff or the like. I kinda hesitate to since the last thing I want is for others to be interested in her enough to draw her or stuff like that (I want to get her stuff done before people start getting any ideas), but the occasional tidbit shouldn't be too harmful, methinks.
Also, I sketched her alongside a couple more warm-ups to test out OBS again. Looks like they still haven't fixed the desktop-wide crash it causes with AMD cards on Linux (it's been doing that since last year), which kinda irks me 'cause I miss being able to add images and text and a Now Playing section to my streams. Been using Castawesome for a long while now and it's pretty barebones compared to OBS.
