MCDM Mini Monday - 3d Print Edition

Hey Folks,

I forgot to hit publish last night, so this week Mini Monday is on a Tuesday. I think we might end up moving to a monthly drop of two minis because posting consistently on schedule has thus far proven illusive, however, we want to deliver multiple minis each month.

This week we are doing something a bit different as we got two new 3D printers setup in the office to play with. A disclaimer before anyone gets the wrong idea, these prints we do here in the office are the MCDM team having fun with the 3D printing hobby, if you want to see how the professionals at Trenchworx make MCDM minis, check out this tour of Trenchworx HQ  done last month by Goobertown Hobbies.
We printed out Groyle Fleshender from Kingdoms & Warfare using our a Creality K2 Plus that Jerry picked up for us. In order to get the best results we printed him in sections and glued him together, but it's also possible to add in support structures and print him as a single piece.

As per usual, if you don't have a printer of your own, or just want to pick up something already-ready-already, Trenchworx has a few Groyle Fleshender Minis up on their shop.

Thanks,
Geoff

Community Showcase:
Two weeks ago we asked if any of y'all wanted to share your results/feedback with us and Edward Pizzella and Niels van Kruchten answered the call. It motivated us to start printing these out ourselves and diving deeper into the hobby.

Niels van Kruchten printed Feathers on a Bambu Labs P1P equipped with a .2mm nozzle.

Relg was printed by Edward Pizzella on a Elgoo Saturn 2 with a layer height of 0.03mm using Sunlu ABS resin then gap filled and primed for paint. Edward shared helpful advice on how to get better results from out STL setups that we are working to integrate into our process in the future.

I feel embarassed, I haven't even painted my OG kickstarter Groyle, and now I can print spares if I screw it up hahaha.
