Chapter 56

[Location: New York Institute] [3rd POV]

“Could you put those down, please?” Talia said “I’m not related to the literal devil, if that’s what you’re freaking out about” She added, seeing the fear on their faces. The two looked at her with frowns on their faces, as more of the residents noted the reaction, all of them tensing and beginning to get ready for a fight.

“If I was, I probably wouldn’t have even given you the chance to attack me, I woulda just killed you” Talia said with a shrug, knowing full well that she would have done just that. The two glanced at eachother, both having a silent conversation with eachother. While Hope was struggling not to giggle at the situation.

Slowly the two lowered their weapons, still staring at her with narrowed eyes. “Fine, but I have my eyes on you” Lydia said, a look of wary look on her face.

“That’s fine by me” Talia said with a shrug, expecting nothing less than that. Their little stand off was cut off as a red light glowed and a siren began to go off.

“Lydia! We got a situation!” A female Shadowhunter said, causing Lydia to blink in surprise and immediately began to follow the girl.

“Looks like the demon’s in the institute” Talia said with a hum, as she could sense it, faintly, but she could. Hearing this, Alec’s eyes widened, as he ran off after Lydia.

“They just left us, didn’t they?” Talia said with a twitch in her brow, with Hope nodding “Yep, they definitely did
should we follow them?” Humming, Talia nodded “Might as well”

Following after them, the duo soon came to a training room, where a main lay dead on the floor, a large hole in his chest, where his heart was. On the side was a man curled up, with a medic talking to him, while another watched over him.

“So the demon is here, like I said?” Talia said, walking up behind the small group in front of her. Alec nodded as he crouched in front of the man “You were right
can you track it?” Alec asked, looking at Talia.

“Hmm, I should be able to easily enough” Talia said with a hum, before breathing in deeply as the third member of the small group in front of her, turned to look at her.

Standing there was an incredibly attractive woman with long dark hair, and is seemingly Latina.

‘Fuck
another mate’ Talia thought in surprise. Hope on the otherhand noticed the reaction Talia showed to the girl, and also noted the own bond she had with her, seemingly the same as hers and Clary’s.

“Who are you?” The attractive girl asked, looking over the two unknown women. “I’m Hope and this is Talia” Hope said, introducing the two, while Talia was shrugging off the feeling she had.

“Isabelle, these are the two I told you about” Alec said, glancing at his sister, who was borderline staring at Talia, just as Clary was. “Oh you mean the Warlock and Werewolf?” Alec nodded “Well, it’s nice to meet you two!” She said with a warm smile.

“Nice to meet you too, Isabelle” Talia said, before glancing at the body with a hum. “If you give me some room, I should be able to find it, and kill it” Isabelle hearing this, moved out of the way, while Clary shook off the feeling she had.

Crouching in front of the dead body, Talia looked it over, before casting a tracking spell. It would basically give her a exact location of the creature, and what it was inhabiting at the moment.

After a few moments, she stood back up “Found it, it’s inhating some guy named “Raj” if you get me close, I can get the demon out of him, and kill it” Talia said, looking back to the group. They all looked surprised at the fact that she found it, and seemingly so easily.

“Will it harm Raj?” Lydia asked, she didn’t like the guy (he’s a major douche) but he was still a member of the institute, so she couldn’t exactly let him die.

“It might burn a little, but that’s about it” Talia said, not entirely sure on that part, as she hasn’t exactly had to kill off a demon ghost thingy before. ‘Probably at least’

“I didn’t know Warlocks could do that” Clary noted, having never seen a tracker spell or a form of magic like Talia’s, as hers included the little magic circle. “My magic’s a bit
different then the rest” She said simply, while Hope inwardly snorted ‘Yeah right, it’s more than a bit different’ Hope thought, but didn’t say a word out loud, knowing better than to reveal something like that.

“Different?” Alec asked, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, it’s a bit more
special than the rest” Talia said with a shrug, before looking to them “So, are we going to go and find this Raj guy, or what?”

Looking at eachother, they nodded.

Walking through the institute, Talia eventually made it the the hallway where the guy was supposed to be. “So you’re Raj?” Talia said with a hum, looking at the man in front of her. He turned to her in surprise, while Talia was more focused on sensing the demon inside of him. It wasn’t that strong in her eyes, but it is annoying to deal with for a normal shadowhunter or person.

“I am, and you are? You shouldn’t be here” Raj said with a frown, before noticing the small group behind Talia, this being Lydia, Alec, Isabelle, Clary, and Hope. The demon inside of Raj seemed to have noticed this, as Raj’s eyes began to darken into a pitch black color.

“You shouldn’t have come here with them” The demon possessed Raj spoke, his now dark and demonic voice rumbling out. Talia just looked at the man with a bored expression, before holding her hand up. “Yeah as much as I’d like to continue
whatever this was about to be, I’d much rather kill you and talk with the lovely shadowhunters behind me” Talia said with a mocking smile, before a sharp glow emanate from Raj, after Talia casted a simple spell that would kill the demon inside, courtesy of her literal thousands of spells from Overlord.

A scream ripped itself from Raj’s throat, as a black smoak began to pour from Raj’s mouth, as the creature began to dissipate and disintegrate.

Raj dropped to the ground, as the demon let out one final screech, before dying, turned into complete nothingess.

This chapter was a bit shorter than intended, but I decided to end it here, as the episode is pretty much done now lol

Talia has officially screwed canon, as Clary’s mother (her rather shitty one) is now alive and well. What will this change? Who knows, only me though!

Next chapter should be longer this time, and might be some smut with Talia and Hope in there as well.

I might be uploading a vault fic today, this time being much more unique than the other ones, with the mc being a certain female Satan from DxD! It’ll be released eventually, just not sure if it’s today or tomorrow.

The next chapter of the Gwen fic will be released later today, but I have some plans that I gotta do, so it’ll be later tonight.
