For one, I love this show and always will. I watched all 3 Karate Kids and love the whole trilogy & show. I understand the shows intent in bringing Miyagi “bad” past with the robbery and assault. it seemed like a way to drag Miyagi into this show, while he started the whole movie. I believe it was extra. Everyone who watches this show knows that Miyagi was the OG and original Karate Kid, And I believe it was unnecessary to drag that on. Outside of that scene and scenes regarding that, i’ve watched several of shows including fight shows or shows that include fighting scenes. None have better choreography or buildup than Cobra Kai, one thing the writers are very good as it, is making it hard to decide between fighters, for EX: Robby and Miguel, Tory and Sam. Besides all that. Loved the reaction and afterthoughts! Can’t wait for part 2 & 3!

2024-08-07 20:39:48 +0000 UTCThat was my immediate thought when it was revealed that Mr. Miyagi fought in the Sekai Taikai, that we knew from the past (KKIII) he was against tournaments. At least fighting in them for just the sake of fighting. In KKI he was ok, because he knew Daniel needed to defend himself in a controlled one-on-one situation like the All-Valley and not keep getting jumped by 4-5 members of Cobra Kai. Then he was eventually ok with it in KKIII and told Daniel he'd train him, because he knew Kreese, Silver and Barnes would not stop their terror, until Daniel defended his title. I like you, have total faith in the creators and won't judge until we see the final 10 episodes.
