I think Jamie proved Beth right in this episode. while everyone else is willing to put themselves at risk for John and the Ranch, as soon as Jamie sees he might have to sacrifice something he wants, he's willing to give everyone else up to have it. There's no loyalty. True loyalty doesn't just show up when other people are around or watching you, it's all the time. If Jamie had his priorities in line, putting the Ranch first instead of putting everything on the back burner while campaigning, I think John would have continued to support him. Jamie is loyal to himself, he will be there when he's getting something out of it, otherwise, it doesn't matter.

Itโs so much more impactful when you marry it with the scene in the woods. 100 years ago thatโs how the ranch took care of biz. The modern day is keeping the Dutton ranch from staying out of the hands of greedy pirates. Cowboys canโt be true Cowboys of the land. And continuingly finding the story to be SO MUCH MORE EMOTIONAL. now that Iโve seen the prequels because it builds that history and you know how much the Duttonโs surviving means that the family and the weight that John carries. I feel suffocated and strangles watching the modern day play out of the ranch. Just how the motorization feels circling in on the property waiting to pick it pull it and steal it. Welcome home Jayce! Where you belong buddy !!
