quantifica february

Hey team!

Video announcing this year's projects is still in production. Did not want to belate February's post any longer, so here it is. Apologies for more information with still no context! Let's call it "dramatic tension." Direct link to minimix here.

[UPDATED AND EXPANDED 3/24/2025]

PROGRESS REPORT

Two videos in the writing phase: In the Revolution, There Will Be Disco and John Wick: With the Animals. The bulk of the John Wick vid has been written for a while, there's just a bunch of connective tissue between the main points that needs to be written, which are outlined but not incorporated. In the Revolution... has been taking the focus. It started out as one part of a different video, about like five different artworks - one game, two TV shows, a book, and a band - that I was planning to compare and contrast, but then the Disco Elysium segment spun out into a much bigger topic than expected, accidentally becoming some kinda manifesto on what I want my channel/praxis/life to be in a post-reelection, post-Alt-Right Playbook world. It's gonna be... something.

Also released four more adventure game tier list reviews, which y'all can watch here.

BINGO CARD

At time of publication, the Bingo Card was still not finalized.

MINIMIX

Toons. As ever, if you are not logged into Spotify, the app will pepper this with extra songs not of my choosing. Don't blame me if it gives you cruft.

Vertigo
"I need to take a breath before I pass out."

Euphoria
"Sweet, sweet lavender."

Flash Ram
"Maybe you'll have a friend in Hell."

Hyperballad
"I imagine what my body would sound like slamming against those rocks. And when it lands, will my eyes be closed or open?"

Philistine Philosophies
"The world we loved became estranged."

No Hay Más
"What really hurts most is I was right."

FILM RANDOMIZER

Reviews for Next Exit, A Different Man, and Sick.

READING LOG

More novellas. Nothing has knocked my socks off this year, but everything's been pretty good.

GAME CABINET

Reviews for Call of the Sea and Oxenfree II: Lost Signals. Wasn't in the cabinet, but I also reeeeeaaally liked Herald of Havoc.
