May Update: In The Works

Hey team,

The freelance gig is much farther along but continues to take up my time. Per my last few messages, I have been looking to put out something modestly-sized this month, which involved a lot of dabbling in different ideas. As such, I thought I'd share some of the dabbles with you!

Dabble One

I started with the Roguelike Ennui script, because it required the least prep to get started - I didn't have re rewatch any movies or do any research, I have 1500 hours on Nuclear Throne so it's not like I needed to replay it. And I liked what I was writing, but it soon became clear that I didn't know where it was going. Which is fine! Given the subject matter, I think seeing where the writing takes me is the best option. But it meant I had no way of knowing how long the video would be or when it would be done, so I decided that was not the thing to focus on if I'm targeting a May release.

But here's a bit of the script:

Dabble Two

As is, perhaps, predictable, I then turned my attention to an entirely new idea that is not one of the four I pitched recently! I'm not 100% sure what format it will take - long video? series of shorts? TikToks??! - but I assure you it is very silly. Right now it's a "peck away at it for fun when I have a minute" type deal, not the main focus. Gonna keep it close to the chest but here are some pics. (Curious what you'll make of them.)

Dabble Three

I didn't pivot to the FPS video, but I did have one idea for it that I executed on a whim. May employ it in the video proper, but for now it's a one-off. (You may have seen it on Twitter.)

Dabble Four

Finally, I settled on the Homily for Steve Rogers video as the next thing, and the script is underway. I have rewatched all the relevant movies, made an outline, and begun the script. Here is an excerpt from the early section:
