January Update: I Forgot We Do This

Hey team!

I was so excited to get a video online before the end of January that I kind of forgot I was supposed to do an update. Apologies! This being the shortest month of the year, we're only three weeks away from a February update, so I'll keep this brief.

Not Sure About February

There's a decent chance there won't be a video this month. I am attempting to return to The Alt-Right Playbook this month, and the next one is a complex subject that it's important to me to get right. I have a fairly thick book I'm reading for research and there's little chance of getting through it in time. It may not be necessary to finish it, but I need to get further and it's pretty heavy. I don't read a lot of uplifting material for this series!

I'm also rusty. I haven't had to sit drawing hundreds of slides in almost a year. I don't know how it's gonna go, but I'm prepared for some shuddering gears.

But! After scrapping several script attempts over the past year, I finally have an intro I'm happy with, and I think my throughline is clear. So this is the thing I'm ready to focus on.

I wouldn't rule out me deciding to juggle the research and writing with a smaller video this month. I've got that Protagony script begging for a rewrite and it wouldn't be nearly as involved, and I have the first chunk of a different ARP written that is kind of exciting. Or maybe I'll just grab a CO-VID and run with it.

But, in any case, my chief task is returning to TARP. Anything else that happens will be in tandem.

So! In three weeks I'll be speaking to you again and we'll see what we pulled together. Have a good month, stay safe. A few people in my life have gotten the vaccine, so hopefully some of you have as well!
