"The Future Of Innuendo Studios" call to action short vid was what got me to sign up to Patreon at all, let alone pledge for the first time. You shouldn't have had to wait for 36 hours, that's about 24 too long. ;) Please keep delivering social commentary as well as media/game analysis, that's a killer mix, in more ways than one. It takes balls to do what you're doing, and that gets my support.

I've never had a boost this big before, but in the smaller boosts I've had in the past, there's never been a big drop-off afterwards. There's always a steady trickle out as people cancel or lower pledges, but it's usually outweighed by the steady trickle in from new videos. Here's hoping! We're WELL PAST the self-sufficiency goal, so I can afford to lose a few if that happens.

I've been watching for a little while now, but because the videos were infrequent, the Patreon didn't even cross my mind. Your update was really useful (clearly)! In case you're wondering, I started watching when one of your videos made the rounds in the UK Smash community.

So, first - I'm glad the call to action went well. That being said, a word of caution. I don't know if you can or have the data to check, but make sure that the new patrons aren't "fair-weather friends" how pledge on impulse but then remove the pledge after a couple months.

I wonder if part of it is that your situation as you shared it with us created something of a "this is a thing that would have to happen now" dynamic. I remember you saying that the urgency aspect was one advantage of Kickstarter over Patreon in "Getting Your Ass Paid" - your announcement about the channel's financial status certainly created some of that.
