For exploring places with questionable air quality, CGP might find an oxygen detector more useful than an indoor air quality meter. Who knows which gases are displacing the air and a nasty pocket of N2 will lead to him passing out while the other detector says all is well.

It might not track some of the other compounds, but it's much more reliable and he can leave it running for months without needing to worry about charge. Also the geiger counter makes me worry he knows something the rest of us don't and/or is going to some sketchy places.
