while i agree its dumb and feels forced that an opportunity came up. they also had 5 yrs, she likely touched at least 1 retainer and used that opportunity to touch momo, likely happened off-screen. but i bet oda made it happen on-screen wed just have to go back thru the episodes and to theorize the most likely moments and retainer she chose. unless she got more than 1 retainer which seems even more forced and crazy then.

That's how the fruit works, she has to touch the person before she can change to them so not only did she somehow touch the Shogun in the past but also touched Momo??? Nah.

The first time he made a deal with them it was to protect his people otherwise Orochi would start killing the citizens all over the country and Oden can’t be everywhere at once to save everyone. And now he’s making a deal because he’s gonna die anyway so might as well try to bargain with kaido.

Also in manga Kaido got dropped like a bitch after he got cut by odens paradise totsuka. Oden was going to finish Kaido while he was lying on the floor in his dragon form but then the momo incident happened. Oden went to save momo, but then Kaido intentionally turned to his human form and sneaked a bitch attack on Oden while he tried to save momo. The anime adaptation tried to protect kaidos reputation haha Also, Oden stopped being that thug you liked when he had his 2 kids lol Lastly, you’ll see why Oden proposes a deal for his execution in the next ep.

That makes him even more of a bitch because there’s no argument he was mid swing like in the anime. He used the distraction as an opportunity to leave dragon form and go into base form and THEN swing at Oden.

It's possible, but it will be a very difficult task. I don't think that even Kaido himself will let him do that. Everybody at the brink of defeat or death, will automatically react on it.

He would've died anyway and the worst that can happen by making a deal is that they still kill him anyway, so Oden has nothing to lose.
