Lucky Star: "Fixtures of Summer" PDF

A downloadable collected version of my Lucky Star fan story "Fixtures of Summer" with all story art embedded within. I'm uploading these collected versions for ease of access for fans of my work in case something ever goes awry with this platform or myself. If you really enjoy the tale I recommend downloading it. Konata Izumi has just gotten to her first summer break as a high schooler. Dad is going away for a trip and the house should be all to her. The little otaku girl makes big plans to game away the break undisturbed, but a surprise visit from her cousins Yutaka and Yui may change her plans. Before we were friends in the community Snow Powder was apparently a fan of my earlier community stories such as Efforts and Results well before our first time talking. Our friendship grew over time and I often found myself commissioning Snow for art to pair with scenes in other stories of mine, including some of my Lucky Star works like “I Can’t Suddenly Change”. One day I noticed Snow post a picture of a content padded up Konata on their platforms and I of course liked it but soon found out that Snow had some story ideas for it and wanted to work together. Though by this point I had reached my goal of writing all ten girls into diapers again I was always welcome to make more stories and Snow had the desire to see Yui appear more as a caretaker who had only limited time in the aforementioned story. We brainstormed a bit and out of that process this story emerged. Taking the cute embarrassment elements Snow liked from my stories they read before and that closeness of family I mapped it all out with the theme of family at the front and center. What’s truly important in our interactions with those we care about? What can wait so that we have that time? In what ways might we get under the skin of those we care about because we don’t communicate? Those were the ideas I played with as I wrote Fixtures of Summer alongside Snow and I hope that theme comes through well as it is read.
