Poll Closing Soon + Mobile UI Patch

The first enemy poll will be closing soon, so get your votes in now if you want to try and turn the tide in your favorite's direction! In terms of specifics, the poll will likely be closing in around 12-14 hours (noon PST).

Additionally, the first iteration of the "Reduced UI" setting has been added to the current build of the game. Mobile users, please tell me your thoughts! I understand that there are still issues with hovering not working and buttons sometimes being unresponsive, but I don't really have an answer for those issues at the moment. At the very least, I'm hoping that this will help to make the game a bit more playable for you all.

I also wanted to throw in a quick poll about how you guys feel about posts regarding when polls are closing. Just a simple question that'll change how things will work going forward - Do you want me to post about when polls are about to close, or should I wait until the deadline to simply announce the winner? Like I said in a previous post, I don't want to spam you guys, so please let me know if this would be too much.

Also, a quick update on the status of the Discord. It should be going live before the next update releases. It will also be including benefits for paid members!

I appreciate your response, and your acknowledgement of the trend toward these things going silent. And yeah, the $15 is a regional thing I guess. I was just trying to be reassured that I won't be funding $90 over 6 months and have almost nothing to show for it, you know? It's a wonderful game, by the way. The AI images don't know what to do with hips and knees at some of the highest weights but your writing is good and the scenarios are fun. Just hoping for more, now!

I've gotten a couple of reports similar to this. I'm not really sure how the issue is originating, but I unfortunately don't have a super great way to test it. I'm still hoping to get this bug fixed in a timely manner, though.

You make a really fair point. Even the smaller changes I was doing yesterday took much longer than I would have liked, and I agree that dividing a huge amount of my focus to the mobile version isn't something I really want to do. Despite that, I don't plan on changing the UI much in the future since it's already fairly crowded, so I think that at the very least getting a working version of that for people on mobile would be a really beneficial addition for them.

A couple of things - First of all, yes, there are direct messages on Patreon. I don't recall exactly where you'd find them as a member, but if you have any future questions like this and don't want them to be public then that feature does exist. Secondly, I understand that the price is higher in some countries due to conversion rates, but here in the US the starting point is $10. While updates won't have a super concrete timeline, as their release dates will largely depend on the content that is being developed, I plan on releasing them in smaller, more frequent chunks instead of potentially waiting a month or several months in between each. The next planned update, for example, is slated to contain a couple of new enemies and a large selection of QoL changes. While the content won't be super gamechanging, the idea is that patrons would be receiving multiple different updates within one payment cycle. Larger updates will obviously be released at points, but I want to circumvent the issue where pages like these often go dark for months at a time while developing further content. I've thankfully been given a really good opportunity here due to the large amount of support people have provided over the last week or so, and I plan on doing as much as I possibly can to grow my page over the next few months. So while I can't promise that content will be releasing at the same rate forever, I'm going to be trying my best to develop a solid amount over the coming months.

I realize that you have to make a living, but I'm not sure what kind of timeline you'll release updates on. Is it going to be monthly? Because if you charged per content release (if that's still an option?) I'd not feel inclined to stop being a paid patron after getting the paid version. $15 is a bit steep for an ongoing monthly charge, no matter how good the game is. Most of my indie games cost $15 max. Just hoping to get some insight into what the process is going to look like. Sorry also if this could have been a DM, I couldn't find the option.

as someone managing software myself, I would suggest - a lot of people may want a mobile game - it may be pretty easy to get a mobile version to run with your development framework, but the complexity of thinking about and managing parallel ui implementations over time is a lot for just one person who also has to balance making the content and mechanics of the game. don't understimate it. - it's more important to have a great game on any platform, than a good game on every platform - the greater the game, the. more feature requests you will have, but it's your job to choose what makes the game great; if the game isn't great people will just go silent, so bugfix/feature requests are in a sense actually a good sign

On android it still has the two characters cut off

So I actually managed to get it working but not properly on android. Instead I got it working on a old tablet that I have and joiplay doesn't work on it
