Today's a big week for me as we release the last update for Palestra. Feels like I started this forever ago and I'm happy with the way it turned out! I thank you all for the support you've given as I worked on this game and I hope you will enjoy this last update!
With the end of Palestra also comes changes to the tiers. From now on, the Palestra rewards will be removed and other rewards are shuffled around to make sure every tier has something in it. Here are the new tier rewards:
Tier 1 (Fighter):
- Previous tier rewards
- Access to the Dreadlord Ascension Game builds
Tier 2 (Knight):
- Previous tier rewards
- Access to portraits and animations packages from Dreadlord Ascension
- Get early access to the full version of Palestra
Tier 3 (Champion):
- Previous tier rewards
- You can vote for the Dreadlord Ascension polls and animation polls
Tier 4 (Hero):
- Previous tier rewards
- Access to a special save for Palestra where everything is unlocked
- Access to a special save for Dreadlord Ascension where everything is unlocked
Since now I have one less game to worry about, I thought I'd work on a single game and focus on Dreadlord Ascension, but it seems like I just can't help myself, I love working on different stuff! Because of that, back in January, we started working on a new game.
It is still too early to really go into and talk about the actual game as we're still in the design phase and boy is there a lot of design to do lol. I assume it might take me the whole year to really get a headstart on the design phase.
What I CAN share, however is our vision for this new game.
We plan to make a monster taming game in 2D/Voxel with turned based combat (think Pokemon obviously). The game will largely be SFW BUT we also plan to make a "DLC" which enables the NSFW part of the game with the three romance-able guys.
Don't expect regular updates on this project for now, but I may share some teases and news throughout the year!
For Dreadlord Ascension this week I mainly worked on the new animations for the refresh skill and they are now working ingame. These new animations were remade to be used by any player character on any player character. This was made to prepare characters for the corruption forms.
The two Haidens are only an example but this is how the animation will look. For the start, I made 5 animations but I may add more in later updates! Since you may see them often, I also made the animations much shorter so they will not take up too much time out of the combat.
