April BTS

Good evening everyone! I’m greeting you with this wonderfully expressive shot from my recent set with Josh Showell, in collaboration with designer Ikonostas (which, by the way, was incredible, and I’ll share more very soon!)

Apologies for the long silence. As some of you may have noticed, I once again forgot we were at the end of the month, so I decided to keep posting until last Sunday and then take my usual 3–4-day break between months. So, let’s just pretend it’s April 30th and take a look back at this beautiful month.

During the first week of April, I was still in Bali, working at one of the Femme Nue events. It’s always intense but deeply fulfilling to collaborate with them. What made me happiest, though, was meeting an artist who instantly became a close friend. Sometimes one thing sparks a whole chain of events, and that’s exactly how this trip to Bali felt. The event was the main reason I chose to go, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. Sometimes, all we need to do is make space for what life wants to offer us: experiences, emotions, people. Nothing happens by chance, and it’s up to us to embrace it all.

After Bali, I took some time to reflect, tuning in to what I really need. That’s easy to do on a beautiful island, but much harder once you’re back to normal life (whatever that means, I never spend a week in the same place anyway).

I’ve decided that this year will be mostly for me. I’ll take on fewer paid jobs and focus more on my wellbeing, creativity, and Patreon collaborations. Living more slowly, shooting less but with carefully chosen people, has brought me so much space for creativity, fulfillment, and emotion. I’m learning to say no without guilt, to put my wellbeing first without hurting others, and to create and protect the space I need for myself.

With this mindset, I embarked on my first trip post-reflection. And now that it’s nearly over, I can say I’m truly happy. I’ve worked well, taken time for myself and for the people I love, and didn’t let stress take over.

I also joined another amazing event in Tuscany, where I had the chance to shoot for the first time with Shira, the event’s organizer, a model and photographer. I was truly impressed by her talent, and I can’t wait to show you what we created together.

It’s getting late now, but I’ll be sharing the first part of this weekend’s set in a few minutes. Stay tuned and see you soon!
