2025-07-04 21:13:04 +0000 UTCThe best part of Call of the Night is that it’s perfectly split itself up so that season 2 is going to have a slow tone switch sometime soon. The first part is a good vibes slice of life, everything after starts to lean more and more into action and mystery. Some of the coming arcs are pure gas. Reading that manga was such a fun ride and I fully believe this studio is going to nail the transition. The OP kinda spoils that switch up WAY too much in my opinion though. It 100% fits the tone of what’s coming, but it ruins the switch up slightly for anime only that just expect more of the same. I don’t think there’s any way to expect standard slice of life when the last part of the OP is an absolutely insane looking Nazuna fighting the vampire killing detective from season 1. That might give things away just a little, lol. Also there are some CRAZY spoilers in that OP, god damn. Maybe not obvious, but as a manga reader they showed so many major moments that it shocked me.
