His name means "The Half-Blood from the House of Dark Ravens son of Étaín "

This character will play an important role in the comic, showing that elven society is far from monolithic. Among the Aen Elle, there are half-bloods — extremely rare children born of unions with royal humans. Such marriages were only ever arranged in exceptional circumstances — as a compromise following conquest, to prevent uprisings and guerrilla warfare.

Dhorvél is one of those few. His story is one of existing between worlds. In Tir ná Lia, he oversees all matters related to the human population — responsible for order, taxation, labor, rights, and obligations. In essence, he is the Lord Overseer of the human caste , the Prefect of Human Affairs . He is respected for his efficiency, but behind his back, some elves call him "Aen Faire-Cú aep dh’oine" — “the humans’ guard dog.” He is neither a villain nor a saint — merely someone forced to live in-between, making decisions that please no one but reason itself.

Note: In appearance, he is almost indistinguishable from elves, but he's a couple of inches shorter than pure-blooded elves and he has fangs, so he rarely smiles.
