Test Build 2 is out for supporters!

If you'd like to try new content early I'm doing the testing in Discord. The new content we're testing: a new sub-region, three new entities, a timed obstacle course, a new upward dashing spell, new blessings, player dialogue faces, and more. Plus some old regions have been changed and added to, like a new frog swamp area.

I've already released a 2.1 bugfix build, but if you encounter any issues please do make sure to report them!

Next up

I've decided that instead of doing the final Jungle sub-region, I'm gonna start working on the dark spooky shadow forest region early since spooky season is upon us. I want to try to go a bit more into horror vibes while still keeping it fun rather than scary. Things like unpredictable behavior, lurking, flashing in and out, loud stomping, entities hiding, foreshadowing, spooky atmospheres, invisibility - these are ideas I want to explore and see if I can work out to add up to some spooky vibes.

The first sub-region will most likely be a castle, so a (mostly?) indoors environment at a similar scale to the other regions. I've already started working on one new entity, it was an idea I couldn't wait for so it's already in progress. Darker environments and maybe an equippable lamp to help explore those darker environments, is something I'm already trying to implement.

The final jungle sub-region will likely be done after the first or second spooky sub-region. As a quick reminder, it will feature flying entities, have less solid ground, more moving platforms and more room for falling (but not too far).
