Kingdom Come - Prologue (October 27, 2014)

It’s two in the morning in Geneva in Sweden. The moon was out and shined brightly as ever. A female wolf kemonomimi in a black bodysuit has broken inside of a bio-design company called Pandora. She had black and white hair, her wolf tail matched her hair color scheme, had green eyes. While carrying a dark tote bag, she turned on her headset and started to call someone. Then, someone answers it.

“Afroditi, I'm in.” the woman whispers in her earpiece.

“Excellent. Keep moving, 20th floor, at the bio-architect research room.” Afroditi said through her headset.

She took the stairs and ran up flats of stairs to the 20th floor. She looked out for cameras, security guards, and detector robots, but there were only two cameras. She took them both out by shooting them with her silenced Heckler & Koch MP7.

She went to the computer room, and no one was in sight. She booted up one of the computers and started downloading everything from the databases.

While the computer was doing that, she left the workstation with the tote bag and started setting up C4 Explosives on all of the machines. It’s that, and stealing drugs and paperwork from the cabinets. After she had done that, she went back to the workstation and called Afroditi again.

“Everything is set. I am sending you a copy even as we speak and setting explosives.” The woman whispers in her earpiece.

“Good, Kage. Get out of there-- Oh, shit!”

“What is it, Afroditi?”

“They are seven units parked outside and about 17 men heading your way.”

Kage runs out of the room. She finds the stairway, but she hears footsteps, so she decides to use the other stairway across the floor. She moves towards the stairwell and starts running down the stairs.

On the 18th floor, she was encountered by two officers. She left the stairwell and ran down the hall until she stopped by two other officers blocking the only exit.

She turned around and saw the first two officers blocking her escape. Kage was cornered. She had only one choice and was to surrender. She drops the bag to the floor, put her hands on her head, and went down to her knees.

One of the officers approached Kage with a knife. The officer charges at Kage head-on. She caught the blade and broke the man's arm in three places. While he's screaming in pain, two officers charged at her. She jumped over both of them with ease and landed perfectly on her feet. She grabbed one of the officers by the back of his neck and kicked him in his knee, breaking his leg like a paper cup.

At that moment, the two remaining officers pulled out their guns and started shooting at Kage. She dodges every single bullet with her speed and quickness. After that, she rushed over to one of the officers and backhanded him to the ground crushing his helmet into pieces. Then, Kage did a spinning back kick hitting him in his face sending him flying through a wall.

She immediately picks up the bag and runs to the stairway. She runs upstairs on the rooftop where nobody is around. At that moment, out of nowhere, a helicopter appeared hovering over Kage. She started to run away as the aircraft chased after her. The officer in the passenger's seat of the helicopter began shooting at her with a minigun.

While she was running, she pulled out her Heckler & Koch MP7 from her tote bag. She began running backward as she shot at the helicopter three times. She shot off two of the five blades, and the pilot lost control of the aircraft. The two officers jumped out of the helicopter as it was about to collide with the roof of the building.

Still running, Kage made to the edge of the ceiling and dropped. The helicopter collided with the building, and it exploded, but the fiery debris is falling everywhere. Still falling, Kage somersaulted and started to run down on the side of the building like a raindrop running down on the window. As she was running, she quickly looks behind her and sees the fiery debris.

She dismounts off the side of the building sails across from building to building as she goes through a window from an office building. She slid across the waxed floor, recovered, and looked at her surroundings holding her Heckler & Koch MP7. She took a few seconds to recollect herself and got out of the office. She made the fire escape and was on the street, away from the authorities and the building. She started running down the road.

Kage sees a dark green minivan and opens the door to her partner Afroditi dressed in a black jumpsuit and a bandana over her head. She gets in the backseat and closes the door.

She starts talking to a woman in the driver's seat, “LET’S GO!”

Afroditi immediately starts to drive as she types in a seven-digit code on her tablet. Suddenly, you can hear an explosion and rumble from miles and miles. It was the same Pandora Bio-Research Facility that Kage was in, but now it's just ground zero. Kage takes a deep breath and lies down on the cushions as Afroditi drives off.

“You just have to give me the DKS,” Kage asked as Afroditi laughed.

“Did anybody see you?” Afroditi asked while driving.

“No. And if they did, they wouldn't describe me.”

Afroditi laughs, “Yep. You have five identifications lined up, all different in their unique little way. You hurt?”

Kage shook her head, “No. Just hungry… and tired.”

“I'll order out.” Afroditi offered.

Kage nods, “Okay. But let's go to that nightclub, ‘Cerberus.’ I want to get this over with.”

Afroditi nods, “Okay. I brought your changing clothes. They are underneath the seat.”

Kage looked underneath the seat and found a little blue dress and stiletto shoes. She started to change as Afroditi turned on the radio. As they arrived at the club 30 minutes later, Kage went up to the VIP area and sat down with two other guys. She gave them the disk as they gave her a small briefcase. She opened it, and it was four gold bars.

Kage took one out of the briefcase and scanned it for impurities with her mineral indicator. The scan indicated that it was 100 pure Spanish gold. Kage left the two and joined up with Afroditi on the dance floor. They left immediately and went home to Kage's loft she’d rented for this mission. An hour later, Afroditi is transacting the gold to their accounts as Kage takes a shower. She lets the soothing hot water roll down her back as she closes her eyes.

I knew you were crazy, Adrian, but goddamn, she thought to herself as she rinsed her hair.

Ten minutes later, she is out of the shower, wraps her head in a towel, and slips on her robe she meets Afroditi downstairs eating Japanese take-out on the couch. Afroditi is a succubus, a type of nephalem that appears in dreams and takes many forms of a woman to seduce men, usually through sexual activity.

Afroditi was in her defaulted human form, being dressed in some provocative sleepwear, wearing a red satin tank top with satin shorts. She let her waist-length jet black hair with rose pink highlights cascade on her ample chest. She even had slitted royal ruby eyes. Afroditi is watching old horror movies from the 1980s. Kage joins Afroditi on the couch with a fork and a carton of food in hand.

“I saw this one before.” Kage opened up the carton and started eating.

“Yeah, didn't like a remake. It sucked.” Afroditi said, chewing. “Oh, it was on the news. Arcana did another one in New York! That makes it 87!”

Kage raised an eyebrow, “Really? That girl is on a mission.”

Afroditi giggles, “I know, right! And I didn't know you were a big softy.”

Kage snickers, “I only hit them once, and they fell like coconuts from a tree.”

Afroditi shook her head, “What do they teach those people in the syndicate?”

“How to obey orders like a good mutt…” Kage flatly answered.

“No wonder they threw you out on your ass after four days.” Afroditi giggles.

They were multiple reasons why Kage didn’t conform to the Oleander Syndicate. The same numerous ideas would save her life.

Kage scoffs at the idea, “It's that, and all the boys were hot too. I was burning up,” changing the subject.

“Oh. I see. That had to piss off the upper brass. You fucking every woman you see--”

“Not every woman.” Kage defended. “It was one... okay, two.”

Afroditi smiles, knowing her friend loves to downplay her embarrassing situations, “Two?”

Kage sighs, “Just two... and I got a one-way ticket home. I didn’t mind going back home.”

Kage always had problems with her self-control and ended up screwing around. Sometimes, or most of the time, it’s bad luck. Stupid lousy luck, but it’s still bad luck.

Afroditi shook her head, “Kage being a part of the Wolves of Oleander.”

“Not even--” Kage started coughing as Afroditi patted her back. “Are you okay?”

Kage coughs, “Hot pepper.”

“I thought you like hot stuff.”

Kage clears her throat, “Yeah, but not when it goes into my windpipe.” Kage and Afroditi started to laugh.

“So why did you accept that big pay-off deal?”

Kage tried to hide her true feelings by making a dry joke, “Well, it wasn't for the money...”

“Hey. Come on, what was it?”

Kage shrugs her shoulders, “No one should play God. What would he say... about that? It's not as serious as I take it... I mean, it could happen again anytime.”

Afroditi comforts Kage by hugging her, “Hey. You are not alone. If it does, we’ll be ready. All of us will be ready.”

Kage smiles, knowing she has her family and her team to help her, “Thanks.”

Afroditi and Kage are the best of friends before even becoming Daemon Knights or working for the Daemon King Siath. Fortunately, they got to know Siath on a personal level and formed a friendship with the monarch.
