The mere anarchy loosed in this particular instance being a community poll to find the best genre movie made in the Marvel Era ("...before the dark times, before the Empire") in which we included options for actually properly good films alongside the 7/10 exploitation faves which this pod series was initially, kinda, sorta, about.

Anyway the final result was a tie between the well-known genre cinema stalwarts Interstellar and Arrival, which together took over a quarter of the votes. Please help us, we've gone intellectual by mistake ("stop saying that, of course he's the fucking farmer" - us arguing in front of Matthew McConaughey, probably).

ANYWAY we've always wanted to watch Arrival on the pod, we're just surprised it happened like this, with us casting the deciding vote so we can save up for a Nolan series like all the other cool podcasts have. Denis Villeneuve (pronounced "D E N N I SSSSSSS") has loomed large through our Dune/Alien/Blade Runner journey, and 2049 is one of the best things we've watched so far (surely, surely, we'll find a way to watch his Dune - maybe we'll run a poll on the best films featuring absolutely zero giant worms, which it will surely win).

So enjoy! Watch the film! Make some jokes about precognition! Or don't bother, Bill and Ted did it best anyway. Party on, Abbott and Costello!
