They think he forced himself on her and tried to take her heart, once again another member of the seven deadly sins marked as a sin for a crime they didn't commit

I thought him looking like Ban was thematic coincidence for King(and us) to link what happened in Gloxinia's life and its similarities to King's life with Ban and Elaine. Big brother jumping to conclusions about a human who's close to their sister and the tragedy that befalls his sister.

Sex or not, they walked on him stripped of his clothes, her stripped of her clothes, him mounted on top of her, and then the bloodbath of the amateur heart surgery. I was able to put the pieces together that they thought he had raped then killed her.

This is why he was named as the sin of lust, because they walked in on him trying to put the heart in after they had sex and they thought he raped her. Kinda disappointing that they left out this fairly important point on him being the sin of lust, but otherwise it's a pretty faithful adaptation of chapter 211.5 if you want to read the original.

2020-03-09 12:32:50 +0000 UTCOkay, that was actually amazing. Like...I stand by what I said when we finished Season 2. Don't give a damn about no animation. Just this intricate web and love given to all these characters. I thought King sucked when we started, and he's in my top 2 favorites. And now here with Gowther, I never hated him but just had little opinion besides loving the "sparkle" thing he does for laughs, and now I really sympathize for the guy. And with this story, it really really solidifies that each "sin" The Seven Deadly Sins commit really is rigged to be almost the total opposite of what they're supposed to embody.
