2020-03-01 04:45:33 +0000 UTCIn my opinion, it's the other way around actually. The use of static sprites and limited movements are more frequent in the first few episodes and then goes away entirely. In addition, the blood censoring is halted a few episodes in and it returns to normal.

They want to see if the decision they made said 3000 years ago was right, and to find that out they have to send King and Diane "back in time" so that they can live trough them and experience the same events the same way. They aren't actually in the past their decisions won't effect the current, this is more off a simulation of the past than the actual past itself.

2020-02-27 00:44:28 +0000 UTCyou are corrct censoring the blood takes you out of the moment, i can understand if theres animation limitations, like in one piece white beard took on way more damage in the manga, but it was hard to animate so compromises had to be made. This anime reshot scenes from season 2 just to censor them, and since the show was already having budget issues thats just a waste of money

2020-02-27 00:25:41 +0000 UTCthe white is their choice of censoring, except in some shots you will see red blood, and they reshot meliodas's death with that dark aura censoring his stabbing because its 4kids level censoring can't show the kids blood and death even though this show isn't for kids. I am not a fan of censoring things
