If you like romance anime's Yona of the Dawn and The Ancient Magus Bride are really good ones. However if you are looking for a longer one Inuyasha is great as well!

So happy you started watching Fairy Tail. It actually made me start it up again, i watched the first 200 or so episodes a long time ago but am now watching a couple a day to finish the series. Can't wait for the next reaction! :)

But Fairy Tail is a whole different beast which she has yet to get to the truly horrible writing by Hiro. The beginning is pretty good to okay in my opinion but once we get to the half-way mark that is when things just go downhill from there.

Fairy Tail has some really emotional moments and its one of the best character driven anime because you get to connect with most of the guild members very deeply.

If you enjoy romance anime, then you would probably enjoy Say I Love You or Kimi ni Todoke. Two of the first 'romance' anime i watched, hadn't really ventured into the genre before that. or Ouran High School Host Club if you want some comedy with your romance.

fairy tail might go dark in some spots but nothing compared to the manga, the anime toned down scenes A LOT like in the first episode the Bora guy he didn't use sleep magic he drugged the drinks and he tried to brand Lucy with a crest like some farmers do to cows

I see a lot of hate on FT me personally I like the anime there are some part on the anime I can do without but all in all still a pretty good anime. Really like watching ur thoughts and feelings about the anime. Keep watching or don't its ur choice not anyone else's.

People bag on FT because people get tired of friendship power ups and random asspulls after they see it solve every conflict in the story. The writing is also atrociously bad later on. Hiro Mashima even apologized for how bad it gets later on lol. BE THAT AS IT MAY, i can understand why it has a fan base. I saw a comment on the last reaction vid that compared FT to being the fast food of shonen battle anime. There's too much fanservice, the writing is garbage and conflicts are solved through friendship deus ex machina. But some of the fights are cool and the music isn't bad either. People know it's bad but still watch it anyway.

Honestly Fairy Tail is very entertaining and enjoyable in the first season but after that it just gets worse and worse towards the end. Problem is power scaling is pretty weird/terrible but atleast you should be able to enjoy alot of it.

the creator of Fairy Tail made Rave master before this. a lot of the characters look similar, models of natsu, lucy and gray especially. Plue was a character from Rave Master, so that little thing is supposed to be like a cute callback

Personally I love the show and I am sure you will enjoy it but never let the haters get to you. Also just so you know the first 48 episodes of Fairy Tail happen to be on Netflix if you want to watch it on there. and yes I definitely recommend you watch black clover its absolutely amazing

I would say this is a good anime if you are only looking for something fun and chill.
