The red flashing coming from the eyes is showing the character using Observation Haki. Hawkins can turn into a Straw Monster and can Create a Straw Monster as you’ve seen in these episodes. And his Terro cards give him Random abilities when he draws the cards.

This reaction really showed that slow pacing is still going to be an issue in Wano. The Luffy and Zoro vs Hawkins goons did not need to take half an episode and it felt like it took 5 minutes for Hawkins strawman to form. I guess the first few episodes were so good that it made me feel that Toei might have figured out a happy medium with the pace.

The sword that Luffy got, is a higher version of Zoro's cursed sword. Zoro has the 3. generation Kitetsu, Sandai Kitetsu.( remember logue town) And Luffy has 2. generation Kitetsu, Nidai Kitetsu. Nidai Kitetsu is a higher grade sword, so it's actually better than Zoro's cursed sword. There is actually also Shodai Kitetsu. ( 1. generation Kitetsu ) Shodai Kitetsu is actually one of the 12 best swords in the world and plays in the same league as Mihawk's Yoru sword. We got all that information in Logue Town, but it's a while back maybe you forgot about it :)

People need to cool it down a bit on the Hawkins comments. I watched that arc in January along with watching many other shows. You can’t expect me to remember everything. Along with only watching through the arc one time when most of you have probably seen it multiple times. It comes off as very judgmental and it’s annoying. A person can not remember every single detail about everything in a show especially when they are watching multiple and from something 10 months ago. Just saying 🤦‍♀️ like why does it matter when I know what it is now. I’m sure it was a refresher anyways because they explained it in this episode

I think the best anime to replace One Piece might be Gintama. Its tone is very similar to One Piece. It can be very silly or very serious depending on the situation. It was also very fun when it reference other shonen jump or anime in general. (I think she might have seen enough Shonen Jump Anime to get the references.) It is also somewhat long anime. If SMF want to hear more of Katakuri's and Zoro's voice actors, both of them play huge role in Gintama. This is Katakuri's voice actor signature role.

Others have mentioned it, but Hawkins multiple lives ability was shown and explained in detail when it was introduced in Sabaody. I get its been a while since then, but its funny you forgot about that since that's his signature technique and the most memorable thing about him lol. He also used the strawman transformation you mentioned when fighting Kizaru. I also wouldnt use JUST stampede as your only reference for trying to remember stuff since its a movie and is condensed obviously, so they dont explain or show off everything about a character. Especially when it comes to more tricky powers like Hawkins, they probably only used the flashiest looking ability of his that anime fans knew of at the time, being the straw form, for whatever fight he was apart of just to look cool.

For the eye thing it's just an artistic choice, when they use observation haki there is a red trail with the eye, and for conqueror haki it's that yellow vibrating effect.
