I was sick for the weekend I was planning on recording my reaction but that and dealing with this vimeo drama has kept me really busy. But I WILL < and I mean WILL watch it tomorrow to have it up this week.

I disagree. Vimeo still needs the views because its popularity depends on how watched are the videos on the platform. Even if its business model depends on subscriptions and not ads, who's gonna subscribe to an unpopular platform that nobody uses? That's what I meant when I wrote "they will never be a serious competitor to Youtube". To compete, they need a larger volume of views. Since Youtube has an estabilished large user base already, the only way to erode part of its market is to offer something they don't.

@ Zhyber I think he is referring to a recent Interview with the Weekly Shonen Jump's Editor in Chief, Hiroyuki Nakano. Where he actually said he doesnt know when One Piece really ends and that only Oda can know for sure. But they actually even started to discuss what to do at One Piece 30th anniversary which would be in 10 years. But he mentioned that Oda is trying to end the manga as fast as possible because it became too popular. So with the few information we got here we can assume that One Piece will end somewhere between 5-10 years. But who knows, Oda is someone who changes decisions based on the situation, one day he might think of ending One Piece in 5 years in another he might end up exdending it by 15 more years. As it already happened. Remember when he actually planned to finish One Piece in just 5 years but when suddenly had the idea to introduce all 7 Warlords wich extended One Piece by 15 more years lol? Getting viewers doesn't matter to vimeo if there's no ads to make money from those views. It costs money to host content.

No problem. I used to download them. But I got better internet now so I just stream the vids. Plus like someone mentioned before. You do a lot for your patrons and listen to the feed back. Thats why I became a patron.

Remove the download option, then if they keep complaining, move to another platform, like Dailymotion, while politely congratulating Vimeo for losing thousands of views. That's why Vimeo will never be a serious competitor to Youtube.

no problem i use mega anyway, i have a really good internet ( 1000 mb/s) and the other downlaod sites bandwith is simply to low , i can get a download speed of about 30 mb on mega so i don't bother with the rest

With the addon "VideodownloadHelper" you can still download the videos from Vimeo even without the download button. Or just use Mega instead.

Mh why not? I dont like watch it on my Mobile Phone oder Small 27" Computer Monitor. I personally want to watch it on my TV and it seems im not the only one, if Vimeo say´s she has to pay if she will let us Download the Video from it ^^

In my opinion, you already do far more than is necessary with regards to making your videos available to watch. A mere dollar lets people watch all your videos with the option of downloading from either site. If people aren't satisfied by what you have to do (removing vimeo downloads, in this case) to keep it going, that's their problem. The fact is that downloads are not necessary to watch the videos and if you still provide them on Mega then people will still have that option, though they may have to pay for the convenience of downloading large links to their phone or settle for doing it when they get home to a PC. Just hoping that Vimeo doesn't try to force you onto the $10k plan now due to commercial use.

With what you pay they can't handle this? :o I download your reaction because I like to watch some parts on 1.5x. You can't do that on vimeo and since mega is limited for no premium user. If you want to give it a go uptobox is the best they have stream and ddl.

Ehh, it’s cool, I’ve been downloading your reactions on MEGA then copy paste to VLC. After I’ve watched each reaction, I delete them from both MEGA and VLC to save data space without paying a single penny. Wash, rinse, repeat🙂

you know... I just googled "download vimeo videos", and there's alot of sites claiming they do it, I don't know if it works, or in what kind of videos it would work, but with this 10k bullshit I won't feel the slightest remorse trying them. I still prefer trying this other than mega, my internet right now is REEEEEALLY bad, so I download the 720p to watch it later in a good quality and without worrying about buffering, and it does take quite some time to download it, so mega is kinda bad, because it's the 1080p one and when it hits the limit I need to wait even more, but still it's not the wost thing ever if I'll need to do it anyways

I think it's normal. I watch your reactions on vimeo but as long as we can still download them there is no problem. You should try dropbox too, some other people use it, I don't know if it is easy or not but maybe it's not more expensive than MEGA. Anyway, thanks for the update
