At the very least, I will clarify for you, the hommunculi basically ARE the philosopher stones. Killing the hommunculi means killing the stone inside, and since they reform around it, as this episode demonstrated, there really is no way to take a philosopher stone from a hommunculus. Btw, a "hummonculus" is just a term for an "artificial human". There have been real life attempts at creating hummonculi, and some may even consider cloned and test tube humans to be hummonculi.
