The whole arc is solid but has very naive and stupid characters. There is difference between being kind and being a pushover. The queen and the princess are the epitome of pushovers.

There is huge difference between losing yourself to your anger and revenge and letting a murderer get away. Her mother was naive too, a world without consequences and just forgiveness is meant to doomed.

2019-03-19 13:22:28 +0000 UTCIt's funny when Nami says that she's glad that Jimbei isn't the mastermind behind Arlong, because initially, a looong time ago, if I remember correctly from what I read in the interviews, that's what Oda had planned for him. Jimbei was supposed to be the big bad guy behind Arlong. Very glad he changed his mind and went the way he did. Jimbei is an awesome, complex character and he adds a lot to the story.
