Luffy showed signs of Haki as well in the earlier episode where he made Duval's bull freak out by just staring at him. Zoro also used haki but much like Luffy was not aware that he actually used it. Also these next five episodes will forever stay with you. Prepare yourself, its about to get wild.

In the subs you're watching, they call the slave that Law frees "Janbarl". Bad translation. It's Jean Bart (as in French Naval Commander and Privateer of the 1700s Jean Bart!) Lots of other characters are also named after real pirates as well!
