One Piece Filler

I agree with you, but unfortunately most fans hate filler and want her to skip it (with the exception of G8, the upcoming filler), so they keep telling her to try and make her skip it. There's way too many people who hate filler to expect it not to happen. Although I wish by this point people will respect her decision and actually listen to the reasons she gave for why she watches the fillers (it may not be happening for G8, but I have no doubt it will for all future fillers). When she first started this, I assumed she was going to watch all episodes. But then after her reaction to episode 18 (a canon episode, that seemed fillery in nature), a fair few of comments came in telling her to skip filler in the future. This ramped up when Buggy's side story was coming up (despite that also being canon), and then they started flooding in once we got to loguetown. Unfortunately there's nothing that can really be done.

I've seen many, & it's been going on since right before the first filler, Daddy the Father. And I don't think you should be identifying filler anyway. If she hasn't read the manga she'll probably not even notice if nobody says anything. Can't we just do it that way?

No. She's mentioned several times that people are telling her that filler is coming prompting votes to decide whether it's skipped or not. I wish people would just let her watch the show in peace.

Under normal circumstances i would say skip the filler, however the G-8 mini arc is possibly the best filler put to anime. :)

No, just let her watch them. The way they're integrated into the arc, they can't really be skipped unless she skips the entire arc (which I am highly against, since it's canon). The fillers in that arc aren't bad anyway (at least compared to the canon episodes of that arc), and people will complain even if she's only doing canon episodes of that arc anyway, so may as well watch them (especially given she will likely post on a non-scheduled reaction day anyway). Also, if you're talking about the arc after that, the fillers in that arc has canon in them.

Yeah, G8 is definitely the one filler arc you should watch. Quick question that's unrelated: Will there be a HxH reaction going up today? IIRC the schedule was Thursday and Saturday. You put up four episodes on Friday to make up for being late, but did that also encompass what you were going to do for Saturday?

Thank goodness. I was gonna be super sad if we didn't get g8 lol. No reason to skip any episodes and I dont agree with anyone saying the tiny arc after this filler you should skip it's so fun and funny. Whenever that character comes back I watch it.

It's nowhere near as bad as some people say. I don't get why people always wants things to be serious and super important 100% of the time. It's fun, and you never know with Oda and One Piece; this arc may be referenced in the future (in canon).

I do not recommend skipping Long Ring Island Arc. It lay down some foundations for future arcs. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean another person won't enjoy it. (Also SMF enjoyed the fillers so that arc will be no problems). I think the appeal of the arc will override the quality of it. It is also not that long so don't worry about it.

Hey Jamie, I know you were only referring to the next filler arc, but since the arc after this filler, a lot of people don't like, and there is a small bit of filler after that, here is how I recommend doing it. Remainder of Skypiea arc (6): 190-192 (3), 193-195 (3) Next filler arc (11): 196-199 (4), 200-203 (4), 204-206 (3) Next canon arc (13): 207-210 (4), 211-214 (4), 215-219 (5) [a lot of people don't like this arc, which is why I recommend doing it this way] Next filler arc (5): 220-224 (5) Semi-canon arc (4): 225-228 (4) [this arc starts with 2 episodes that are mostly filler, but transitions into canon] Canon again: 229-onwards You should be able to do full episode reactions for all of them. Of these episodes, only one reaction (220-224) will be 5 filler episodes, and the only other one is canon. If you can't do 5 full episode reactions, then split them into two parts. Also, don't skip anything and just try and post these as often as you can to get through it faster.

Well actually, due to the changes the anime made, that doesn't happen until another semi-filler/canon arc. Also, there are only 4 fillers in that arc, so only about a 3rd of it is filler. And SMF has already said she doesn't care if it doesn't affect the plot.

Long Ring Island is super fun AND its thematic is super important and relevant to the plot, it's literaly the thematic that they'll have to deal with in Water 7 (I won't spoil but you know what it is). it's by essence the prologue of it. Impossible to skip.

What are you talking about. The longest block of filler is only 13 episodes (which she already got through). After the G8 arc, there is only one block of filler that is 6+ episodes (which is 10 episodes). So after G8, filler will essentially become a non-issue.

To my knowledge no one has commented on her videos saying "warning: filler upcoming". My guess is she has a filler guide and noticed it coming up. Ironic because it's the one most people that used to say skip filler would not say skip g8

I would say skip Long Ring Island arc that comes after G8 though even if parts of it are canon. It has little effect on the plot and I found it a bit too long for my liking.

All of One Piece is great, but consider this the break you need, because the next arc is what people call the highlight of One Piece and a lot of people consider their most favourite. So enjoy it while you can :)
