Shield hero also stopped focusing on slavery after raphtalia. Never was it mentioned again after that but nobody says anything about that because it’s shield hero which further proves that people criticize mushoku tensei unfairly 🤷🏽♂️ Naofumi had a choice lmao. He made his choice rather than to try and figure out another way, which is fine but that just proves my point. Also, raphtalia, filo, and that other girl have slave crests on their chest 🤔 he has 3 slaves while Julie isn’t a slave and she’s living happily

Also, with rape, there's a reason why I would say Goblin Slayer deserves criticism while shows like Berserk, Heavenly Delusion, and to an extent Vinland Saga are praised; they don't gloss over the issue like it's something that just happens, they make sure to go into depth about the victims and frequently display the horror that rape is. I would say it's a similar thing with slavery; like Vinland Saga made sure to display, it is a horrible system that devastated most people for millions of years. You can't expect people to be interested in a show if it stops focusing on it after like, a couple episodes.

It’s always been in the mushoku tensei world being that the maids in Eris’ old house were beast people sold to the grandfather. We saw the smugglers have children in cages and then try to kidnap more in the forest. Let’s be honest with ourselves, nobody cares about slavery in anime. It’s only an issue because it’s mushoku tensei and because it’s rudeus.

2023-08-19 03:44:56 +0000 UTCI wouldn't call her out on that. For one, it comes completely out of left field here. In Shield Hero it was integrated a lot more soundly into the plot. It also makes sense she'd hold her opinions in favor of not putting a damp on content for her audience, but here it's completely within reason for her to not jive with what's going on.
