It’s not a heavenly pact, that terms refers to Maki and mechamarus situations. It’s a binding vow, heavenly pacts are binding vows imposed upon birth and not by choice which is not normally the case.
Revealing one’s hand is a binding vow imposed by the sorcerer upon themselves that increases their output and technique in exchange for giving information about their technique. The only other example of a binding vow imposed upon one’s self is nanami’s overtime where he normally limits himself to 80-90% output in exchange for the ability to use 110% when he activates it.
Then there are binding vows between entities such as vow Sukuna and Yuji make in the beginning.

It's a heavenly pact, I think there's many different variations of it. Revealing your hand so to speak is a form of it. There's also restrictions like the ones maki and mecamaru have which ironically enough are complete opposites of one another, one sacrifices all her cursed energy in return for a superhuman body while the other sacrifices his body for supreme control over cursed energy.

I don't remember the specifics so it might only be with cursed techniques, but in the JJK universe, when you explain your technique to an opponent it is more effective I'm fairly certain. they touched on it in season 1
