so I figure uve been told this b4 especially since u posted this half a year ago, but yes, that is the exact reason many ppl have dropped this show. So I figure u may have gotten to the episode rn, but it does get worse b4 it gets better :(

if it makes you feel better... he mentions how it's been a month probably a month and a half - 2 months by the end of the episode and he brought up how she would basically slap / beat him every day not just during the sword fighting training but every time he tried to bring her back for her lessons so while yes he "deserves a beating" for what happened in the episode cuz it was wrong, he had gotten one every day for the past 30+ days before that point too... other people commented well on the story and feelings aspect so i just wanted to make that point is all :P

So just finished watching this episode's reaction, and it was interesting to see Jamie's reaction to Rudeus' behavior, totally respect how she feels about it, we are all different and have different moral compasses and backgrounds, so I think that's what make reactions so interesting. Personally I rate murder and violence worse than sexual assault, still in my mind I won't let those things stop me from enjoying a story. Hope Jamie keeps and open mind and try to understand and enjoy the story, sure Rudeus is a very flawed character with many traumas from his past life, trying to overcome his previous way of life. And if she doesn't like Rudeus that's good as well I mean the creator managed to make a really creepy character then 😋🤣

I think it's extremely important to portray Rudy the way the show does in order to make sure that the audience understands what a disgusting person he actually is at the beginning of the show. He is not like your standard Isekai protagonist, that's just an average person being reincarnated at a random adult age, that fits perfectly for the story. He actually goes through the process of adolescence and the show does not shy away from making you think about the consequences of that. I mean imagine being reincarnated into another world as a child but actually having your adult brain/knowledge/personality. How are you supposed to have proper interactions/relationships with other people, given that you always have a mental advantage over people your age but are effectively just a child to actual adults? This is a form of realism that few shows add to their story and I think it is a trait of quality that distinguishes great shows from others. That being said I get that your main critique is the pervy side of Rudy and I also understand that you have an obvious problem with the pedophilia aspect. I would just like to say that the discomfort/disgust you feel is exactly the way the show wants you to feel, because Rudy's behavior is genuinely horrible and it is the shows job to portray that if it wants to be realistic. As much as you may dislike these scenes (once again for obvious and understandable reasons) I would like you to consider that, that is exactly what Mushoku Tensei wants you to feel, so it is doing an amazing job at telling its story. You should definitely not be discouraged from going past this in order to experience what comes after this potentially lowest of the lows that Rudy has to offer as a character as this journey is what a genuinely great Isekai series should show.

I do agree that biologically he is a child and it can influence how he feels at some degree. It's not as simple as seeing him as a 30 years old dude transfered into a child body. He was literally reborn and made new memories and experiences as the person Rudy. About the age gap on the other hand, the problem is that in his point of view and also from the perception of the viewer Eris is a child and he still has no problem with assaulting her. When it comes to anime, the level of acceptance for those kind of stuff is already lower in comparision to other media. But this scene really scretched the limit for many and I think it's more than understandable. Still, I hope Jamie will finish the series tho

Also, it's a mix yes, he has his memories as a complete shut in but emotions as a kid. Also remember the culture difference when it comes to certain things because in some places it is perfectly acceptable to marry your cousin.

If you keep using his memories of his past life to age gauge him from things, then he can't date any human that's not 40 or older which you wouldn't like either. Also, just food for thought any show that has a person aged 100 or older going out with any one in their twenties, thirties, or teens you should have a problem with because they are basically dating a kid too.

This show really weird but at the same time i just not think about it haha just enjoy the story line😂 fyi that will be more 2 scene more that make you face uh like this episode :3 so goodluck and hope not dropping this show :3
