Shirou vs Gilgamesh was an insane fight. My 2nd favorite fight from the series. It made sense UBW was a direct counter to Gil's Gate of Babylon. Idk if you realized but when Shirou was coming down from the sky, Gil hesitated for a moment to use Ea but his pride got the best of him and that's why he lost. Also Ea is something Shirou couldn't copy because it's too complex. Archer's farewell gets me everytime :')

The episodes are only half as long, but it's very slice of life. It's almost like everyone was just like "Holy grail? Who cares! I'm hungry!" Just a warning though, you might want to eat something before watching an episode because you will definitely be hungry afterwards.

2022-07-01 03:38:57 +0000 UTCDon't forget to watch the OVA that acts like an epilogue. That said Shirou just had a lot of luck in his fight. Gilgamesh took it easy on him. EA was previously used on Rider in Fate Zero. When Saber came back briefly the Avalon, the artifact thats still inside him, healed him once more after getting hit by EA's wind. There's more to Shirou's power that can be explained better after you watch Kara no Kyoukai. But basically by absorbing Avalon in the past it changed his magic's origin to sword. So he has an affinity with bladed weapons mostly swords.
