2022-03-10 15:40:18 +0000 UTCDoranbolt popping in and looking at child Erza is one of my favorite gags. Looks like the show realized his attachment to Wendy was a little weird and leaned into it. I like the different side of Flare we see. Feels refreshing for a show like this to have a multidimensional character. Sure she's a crazy person who is obsessed with Lucy and joined a dark guild but she also loves her hometown and the people who raised her. The show even foreshadowed her capacity to be good when she apologized to Lucy in the water park OVA and later rescued Lucy during the dragon fight.
