I just wanna say when u get to ep 7 there’s a clip at the very end that you don’t wanna miss it’s like 20secs

jacob

A similar thing happened in Episode 4 with the dropped cola, in Japanese everything was ambiguous and worked but the subs imo feel kind of weird, like why would Miyamura say "Hori screwed me" when he is trying to apologize for screwing up and dropping Toru's drink.

Ryuuji Gremory

I believe I recall she mentioned she was going to try and catch up with it, having already seen 5-6 last weekend, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was something like that. So hopefully it'll follow when the rest airs.

Going back to "Suki" and it's literal translation of "like", adds a bit of nuance to the handholding scene. In the scene the subtitles are misleading a bit with it saying "I love you." Neither Mori nor Miya ever said a "you" in referring to each other, since the "Suki" was ambigious until their hands were mentioned. In a literal translation it would be: H: l-like... M: huh? H: hand(s)!! ... M: I see / I like, too M: Like... So while the conversation ends with them both assuming they're talking about their hands, the ambiguity could also *imply* them saying "I love you." to each other. Which is why there wasn't any big reaction from either of them. That final "I'm in love with you." was the real deal though! Trust a girl whose parents literally named her Suki 😉

Suki

When translated literally it's like that, but it's not as if 'suki' isn't used for love confessions. So if you were to ask someone out you may say "Suki desu" before a "Tsukiatte kudasai" (Please go out with me). Aishteru is mostly only used seriously in places like marriage, or perhaps losing a loved one. In most cases "Daisuki" would be used for more everday heartfelt moments.

Suki

Will this have a schedule or will you get caught up with all the aired episodes at once and then just do a reaction to every new episode when it airs?

Markub El Jaden

hopefully overlord next week lol

Rudeus Greyrat

so in japanese Suki which is what there saying to each other is more like saying I like you for some reason they are translating that as love instead. aishiteru is is what actually means I love you

jacob

i recomend "My Teen Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected" a very good one too

Rockshift

Slice of life, huh? Has someone recommended kimi ni todoke? It is a classic feel good one

Zerozaki
