2020-12-31 08:42:03 +0000 UTCI read somewhere the VA for Subaru said in an interview that he actually puts himself through the emotions that Subaru is feeling. When Subaru needs to cry, he makes himself cry, when Subaru laughs, the VA laughs, when Subaru expresses pain, the VA thinks of past trauma he has had. He is very connected to Subaru and loves the character. He is such an amazing VA. He wasn't as connected to Senku from Dr. STONE when he voiced him BUT the voice acting behind Senku is still amazing. He is definitely my favorite male VA. If he didn't voice Subaru or Senku, I guarantee neither show would have been as good. The voice acting plays big roles in both shows. (Dr. STONE beats Re:zero and is my favorite anime but I am just biased in the name of science.)

2020-12-31 03:48:48 +0000 UTCEpisode 1: The author of rezero has made some IF storylines, basically what would happen if something different happened. Those pictures from when Rem's name/memories get eaten are from an IF story in which Rem said yes to running away with Subaru. I think gluttony's power is pretty terrifying. This show really shows how experiences shape a person and to forget all that, or be forgotten, or both is scary af. That being said I love how despite that you can still see parts of Crusch's old self. I also tear up in the ending scene. The VAs for basically everyone are amazing. Episode 2: Fredrica was actually shown in S1 briefly in the Rem flashbacks after Ram's horn got cutoff. Petra is super cute. This season is wild, can't wait for the rest and for part 2 to premiere next week!
