I get why you don't like it but let her enjoy it since she loves fairy tail fillers. While it's not important for in the upcoming arcs but you know something major happens in this that she must know so can she follow the story with that knowledge.

But I guess its only a matter of time till Fairy Tail gets his anime as well. Probably somewhere after Edens Zero.
