2020-11-11 00:53:04 +0000 UTCEpisode 22: Always love me some Subaru character development. I think Subaru's relationship with Julius is one of the most complex in the show. Really love the aesthetic of Mimi and her brothers, so cute, but so deadly. Episode 23: This is one of my favorite endings of an episode by far. It's so emotional, you can see that Julius and Felix both don't want to kill him. Just seeing the difference in how they view Subaru now versus how they used to view him. It was foreshadowed and I believe someone commented in a past, but I think now is the best time to talk about some info left out regarding the duel since we know a bit more about Julius now. Basically Julius beat the crap out of Subaru so bad because he knew that some other less disciplined knights were thinking that Subaru should be killed for his comments. If you rewatch the duel, you can see the knights cheering for Subaru getting beat, but later when Julius continues to smack him down the knights no longer look enthused about the whole situation.
