I paid for Instagram Verified
Added 2023-07-15 10:04:31 +0000 UTCDon't judge me... I paid specifically because it promised live support and I wanted to resolve 3 issues with them:
- claiming the username of @aczel which is used by an inactive account
- a bunch of falsely flagged posts for sexual content and even hatespeach that I need to be reviewed again
- a notification for a non-existing unread message that is annoying me for half a year now
Here is my experience:
- most likely the "live support with an agent" is a very limited AI
- they won't help you with anything, all my requests were denied
- you will have to verify yourself with an ID and also change your profile picture to yourself, so the premium experience is even more limited than the normal one
- you will get a verified badge which is cringe at best
- they request a screenshot with everything and sometimes the chat is unavailable, so you will just be locked out of the conversation and they will close the issue... so you will have to prepare screenshots beforehand
- they usually just tell you the default process and if you tell them that you already went through it, they say things like "i will flag this as urgent for the internal team", but they won't reply if you ask what does that mean in regards of time or outcome
in a nutshell, I didn't expect much and I was still let down, lol
