Ok, so I'm still learning about developing BnW pictures, here is what I have found out lately:
Ilford ID-11 and Kodak D76 developer behaves pretty much the same, so whichever is available and cheaper is what I am going to get if I don't need something special.
It is actually not so straight-forward how many times can you reuse a standard dilution of developer, but to me it seems like 10 is completely fine.
You are supposed to increase development time by 10% every time you reuse, but to me this doesn't seem accurate... it doesn't account for the size or the amount of film you are developing which doesn't seem correct to me... after the 8th roll I increased the time by 80%, but my rolls started to look a little pushed, so to me it seems like somewhere between 5 and 10% seems more realistic. I have not increased the time for the 9th roll and stayed with 80% and it came out better.
In theory you can reuse fixer for about 20 times, but my rolls started to come out cloudy around the 15th, which can be caused by other factors as well, but nevertheless, I started to work with a fresh batch and I don't have the problem since.
