Devil Shoot - BTS

The bodypaint

We used 2-3 tubes of bodypaint to cover Vuk completely from head to toe. We were planning to do multiple layers so it's completely even, but when it started to dry, I liked the rough texture of the inconsistent paint, so we left it like that.

The tail

The tail was the hardest to solve... we bought an actual devil's tail buttplug and removed the buttplug part :D We basically just attached the tail to Vuk's back where here spine ends (and would continue in a tail). To say the last, it was a bit underwhelming how it looked - the pictures where they showed the product did not show this many wrinkles and it had a different pattern.... but it was ok for a base for the editing. I used all kinds of crazy photoshop techniques to make it look realistic in photoshop - like separating the texture from the shades and than transplanting only the skin texture onto the tail.

Since the tail was not very strongly attached and it was limp, we did some extra shots about the tail around the end of our photoshoot so I can use them for composites, where it needs to bend in the air.

The horn

The horn was 3D printed for us and attached to Vuks head with a fishing string.

The fork

The fork consisted of two parts, the metal head and the handle. The handle was from a DIY shop (OBI), so that was easy. The metal head was not so hard to find either, there was a lot of different types for sale. I chose an old and rusty one and it wasn't even that expensive (about 15EUR). I panted over both the head and the handle with multiple layers of enamel paint and finally retouched it so it looks like it's made from a single piece.

The Studio

We shot the pictures in Budapest, in BudaLoft Photostudio. It's a spacious studio with a make up desk and they also had a shower which was a must for us for this shoot. The model lamps were not working unfortunately on the strobes which I was not happy about.
