What direction do we want to take the CYOA

https://www.patreon.com/posts/65023112  poll options here.

Based on these, where should POV character go with this. I was thinking on holding off on any actual brain mushing plot until later, maybe if the "cool video" option wins we can tease it with a silly meme video.

I also think it would be fun to introduce new characters, maybe at some point both POV and Crystal get mushed by the same trap.

Sure! All Night Laundry (http://www.all-night-laundry.com/) is the one forum-game style webcomic that I'm most familiar with - it was originally posted on a forum, with the artist posting new "pages" as forum posts in the same thread where people were giving instructions and ideas, but they did a pretty good job of porting it over to a website that interweaves both the pages and the forum comment relevant to the page. I've also heard Homestuck originally started in this kind of style as well, but I can't say for sure as I've never actually gone there.

Do you have any examples of those style webcomics? I know Prequel but it's been ages so I don't recall if that fits the bill

Going off what other folks are saying: there could be some potential here to slowly develop a new OC based on what folks vote on in the CYOA, if you were interested in that approach. The basic idea being that the off-screen character's personality gets fleshed out by what wins out in the polls each time (sort of like how forum-game webcomics start with fairly blank characters who then develop over time), and when the character feels developed enough to you, the audience gets to actually see them for the first time in the comic as the perspective changes from "first-person" to "third-person". In terms of the source of the MC, I like the idea of it being something online/video game/vr-based - like it's the game that's slowly brainwashing them, while the question of who's behind the game or what their goals are remains unclear. Gives lots of room for each character to both try to resist and also subvert each other in turn!
