Hello everyone and welcome to the Second official newsletter for DarkDemarley here on Patreon!

As always, I have a lot to say, and I am at risk of rambling on for too long.. So without boring you too much, here is the report!

April Progress

For April, there was a lot of progress made on PHG. Not only did the game get the Public Release back for all fans, but I was also able to pump out many updates for the Early Access versions.

With "City Life" I was able to introduce new characters, locations and gameplay. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to include everything I wanted to, but I was surprised by how much I was able to accomplish for the month!

"City Life" was just the start however, and I feel like it was a natural progression to the Slice of Life gamepaly feel that I want for PHG. Even though it didn't progress the story much further, it included many pivitol gamepaly elements needed for further updates. Such as Clothing Unlocks, Replayable Sex Scenes, Dating and more!

Plans for May

May has a lot of things for the pipeline, and I"m excited to work on it all. I would like to build the Public Release and get that uploaded for everyone. Most importantly though, there is the Poll Results below, which will keep me very busy. My goals are to ensure that I have the current girls all caught up and with some interesting scenes.

After that, there are some new girls I want to be introducing, as well as creating some story elements that I think need to progress naturally.

After all this, I would also like to focus more on the basic gameplay elements like stats and progression, which I think can be revamped and improved.

Thanks to everyone for participating in the poll. the Velvet Room girls have become the chosen winner, which is awesome and definitely where I was hoping to work on next!

I have already written down a ton of ideas for this update and can't wait to get started on it. Some things to look forward to are : Progression and Sex Scenes for Margaret, Elizabeth and Lavenza, Introduction to Marie and Justine and Caroline, Introduction to the Crimson Room, Introduction to a new original character, more storyline!

Discord News

Our Discord has been doing very well this last month. We hit 900 members, and are very close to our milestone of 1K memebrs on Discord! To celebrate, I have created a poll asking what people would like to see as an outfit unlock for all available girls.

This is the start to many more Unlockable Outfits due to community achievements! If you are interested in knowing more about it, come and check out the discord!

Personal Life

In my personal life, the weather has been getting  a bit better. That's been very nice for my walks/hikes with my dog. Work has ramped up more than usual, which doesn't help when trying to develop, but such is life! Luckily, my job isn't too stressfull, just enough to keep me going.

I recently started working out more than usual, making sure I"m going for a run every other day, and doing some exercises with weights. There isn't much cause for concern, just want to lose a bit of weight, and keep my mind focused.

I started socializing with friends again. I know that sounds odd, but since Covid lockdowns I hadn't really spent much time going out and hanging out with my friends. Last month I made it a goal to see my friends in person at least once a week and I have kept that up, I think it's been really nice. I recommend everyone tkaes some time to socialize more, we are social creatures after all!

Finally, I started reading again. I used to read a couple books a month, which was really healthy for me mentally. These days, I"m lucky if I get through a couple in the year. So starting last week, I picked up "Brave New World" and I"m reading again. Hope to eventually get back to a couple a month!

Patron Questions

Here are some of the questions brought up to me throughout the month :

Q : I want my black Jack Frost back. Best bud ever. When?

A : Jack frost may be added once I work on the battle portion of the game. This has been paused until I work on other aspects, but once I come back to it I"m sure we will see these characters pop up!

Q: Pregnancy?

A: Yes. Eventually.

Q: Why do all the girls have the same/similar styled body types?

A: I am still learning a lot as I draw these characters out. I'm not an artist, but I'm trying! As I figure out better techniques, I will update charcaters to be more accurate as to how I think they should be. In the meantime, I"m making the bodies I can make. No art is final, I am always able to update.
