FBI: Chapter 224: Suicide Squad Beta
Added 2025-10-22 20:30:32 +0000 UTCâMotherf*cker! Stop, stop, stop! Hurry up and stop!â
âWhat the hell happened?!â
Oliver and Wade originally thought they were going to die after facing Red Hulk, but instead, they were suddenly carried away by something they couldnât even identify.
That terrifying speed was trulyâŠ
âI canât take it anymore⊠ugh!â
âWade! You better hold it in! If you puke on me, youâre dead!â
The next moment, the dizzying weightlessness vanished. As soon as they hit the ground again, Wade ripped off his mask and threw up beside a tree.
Oliver, more accustomed to this kind of chaos, managed to hold back even though his stomach churned.
He looked up to see who had taken them away.
Standing before them was a tall figure in silver-black armor.
The grotesque spikes gleamed with a dangerous, almost evil aura.
Oliver instinctively took a step back, widening the distance.
But that armor⊠looked familiar.
Heâd seen it recently.
Wait, wasnât this the armor of that future Extreme Speedster?
As the thought crossed his mind, his hand was already back on the bowstring.
âHehehe! Oliver, take your hand off the Star Fury! Itâs me! Barry! Barry Allen!â
A familiar and reassuring voice echoed from within the armor. Oliver froze for a second, then sighed in relief.
âBarry, you finally woke up?!â
âIâve been awake for a few days. Iâve just been getting used to the Extreme Speedsterâs power, so Danteâs been keeping me at Star Labs instead of sending me back into the field.â
âExtreme Speedster? Youâre telling me youâve become an Extreme Speedster now?â
Oliver had seen the footage of Barry being taken by that Speedster from the future.
He never thought his slow little brother would turn into such a powerhouse.
âPhew, I feel so much better after puking. But next time, Iâm not hitching a ride with you, Barry! I almost pissed myself⊠maybe just a little, but the combat suitâs thick, so it probably doesnât show.â
Wade wiped his mouth and staggered back toward them, clearly not embarrassed in the slightest.
âNow that weâve got Barry, the Extreme Speedster, itâs time for our counterattack!â
âFirst, letâs find the rest of the team. Red Hulk can wait.â Wade smacked his lips. âHey, whoâs the one that put trackers on the team? Just so you know, I donât have my personal terminal on me. This suitâs too tight. Can barely fit my hook.â
âIf you say âhookâ one more time, I swear Iâll hang you on a tree,â Oliver said through gritted teeth.
No one was carrying a personal terminal right now. But when he checked his communicator, everyone was still in silent mode.
That meant their individual battles werenât over yet.
Just then, a violent tremor came from behind them.
A red-haired woman with a stunning figure flew backward, crashing through two trees before finally stopping.
âWow, are the boys having a tea party? Mind if a mighty girl like me joins?â
A familiar voice rang out.
They turned to see Skye, looking a little messy but uninjured.
It seemed the woman who crashed through the trees had been her opponent.
Wade, ever pragmatic, dashed over to check the redheadâs condition.
âAt least six fractures. Sheâs unconscious, but her bodyâs tough. No life-threatening injuries.â He paused, then added with a smirk, âSheâs pretty lucky.â
âLucky? You can tell that? Did Dante teach you some Eastern fortune-telling?â Barry leaned closer, curious.
âIf she broke one more tree, sheâd have landed in my puddle of vomit. Isnât that lucky enough?â Wade shrugged, perfectly serious.
Skye noticed the Savitar armor and the familiar voice inside it. Her brows furrowed slightly as she looked toward Oliver, the calmest one among them.
âWait, whatâs going on? Isnât that the armor of the future Extreme Speedster?â
âYeah. Barryâs the new one now. Dante probably gave him the armor.â
Skyeâs eyes lit up instantly.
An Extreme Speedster.
Even though the Coulson Team had split up for this mission, with an Extreme Speedster added to the mixâŠ
The scales of victory had just tipped heavily in their favor.
âŠ
âYouâre really letting Barry go out like that? He hasnât even completed the field agent assessment,â Fury said, pushing a cup of coffee toward Dante.
âDonât worry about it. His brain processes faster than a supercomputer now. Passing the assessment would be instant,â Dante said casually, picking up the cup. âBesides, heâs got Coulson, May, and Oliver with him. Experience isnât an issue⊠Damn it, Fury, would it kill you to add two sugars?â
âYouâre lucky you even get coffee. Iâve never seen anyone stroll into a leaderâs office just to mooch drinks,â Fury muttered, rolling his one eye.
Sending the two teams to reclaim the âFamilyâ strongholds had been Danteâs strategy. Fury supported it.
But he hadnât expected the U.S. government to have two secret metahuman teams under the name Suicide Squad.
By the time he got the intel, the Coulson Team was already fighting Suicide Squad Alpha.
To be honest, Fury was pissed.
The government, or more precisely Amanda Waller, hiding something like that was clearly aimed at the FBI.
And the fact that Red Hulk was involved meant the Military was in on it too.
With his dark expression and darker skin, Fury looked like a storm cloud ready to burst.
Dante almost wanted to hand him an iced watermelon to cool off.
âRelax, Fury. Iâm not worried, so why are you?â
âSuicide Squad Alpha wasnât too bad. Red Hulk was the only real problem.â
âBut Suicide Squad Beta, the one that ambushed the Star TeamâŠâ
Dante picked up the dossier from the table.
The file on Suicide Squad Beta was thick.
He flipped through the pages and laid three of them out.
Hercules, the âStrongman.â
Diana Prince, âWonder Woman.â
Robert Reynolds, âSentry.â
(To be continued.)
