WGC: "Vampire Otter"

At just over a thousand words, we would write a short story fitting a chosen theme. The new theme for this week is, "A new variant of vampire."
I mulled over what to do when I suddenly came across some otter art. Then, I wondered...how would a vampire otter operate in water?
Tell me what you think of the story here. Do you think there should be another story focusing on Vince? :)
