The Company - Alpha 5.5.0 - Backer Release

Surprise!

Alpha 5.5.0 is upon us! While this update does feature a number of mechanical tweaks it focuses primarily on new story content. This release brings us to about 75-80% of Chapter 3, with 6.0 being the completed chapter. Additionally, saves from 5.5 should remain compatible with 6.0 if you save your game at the end of the current story content, which you will be prompted to do.

It occurred to me this play through that the collar and strapon would be cooler thematically if you had to add MCS and TFS respectively to activate them.

Not sure how much discussion there's been on the topic, but I think hard difficulty needs some re-tuning to match up with the material cost changes. Maybe bump up the player's weekly pay ($250 plus bonuses seems waaaay too low for the player's level of skill and responsibility) and/or their base material production? I get that it's supposed to be hard and all, but after using just two MCS-1 serums (including the free one at the beginning of the game) and otherwise spending every waking moment grinding out MCS-1 serums to sell, I still only got to a level 3 lab by September 28th. That...seems too slow, and neither very fun nor particularly porny. And that's not even accounting for the fact that Sophie's steakhouse scenes don't seem to require serums for me to dose her, which would otherwise push my upgrades back to the beginning of October.

Do you mean how the story ends on October 27th? You can still continue playing, however save files just won't work with future releases. If you mean the time system on a per-day basis, well, that's not going anywhere. The game was built with that system in mind and removing or changing it isn't going to happen. Thanks!

Art's coming along nicely, I'm getting new images in on a weekly basis and will have some to share in the very near future. I won't be implementing them until they can consistently represent the majority of the game, but we're definitely making progress. Another part of the artwork process is prepping the game to support image packs, so there's some restructuring work going into things as well.

love this game but really hate the day limit needs to be longer or removed completely unless you cheat its really hard to do anything

Yes, the story concludes one of the Chapter's major arcs (visit to Company HQ), adds a number of new scenes in that arc, and expands the notebook.

Just want to double check because maybe I'm wrong, but is there any differences since the Nov. 7th Patron Demo?
