6.0 - Balance Adjustments

Greetings everyone!

Today's post is gonna be a short one as there's not a lot to report. Like, actually short, not like when I say it's gonna short then ramble on about mechanics for 1,000 words... On to the status report!

Progress Notes

Everything is moving along steadily. I just wrapped up a 4-way branching event that ate up a ton of time and can now focus on writing linear story content. I expect the rate of progress to increase from hear out.

Regarding the Patron Demo

I was hoping to have the demo ready for today, but there's just a few loose ends I need to tie up for I can release it. I would expect to see it out any time between now and Friday, and probably not as late as Friday. These are minor things like getting images uploaded and writing release notes.

Serum Balance Updates

My intention is to make the 6.1 update a mechanical update after the 6.0 story update. I'm not looking to make any sweeping changes, here, however I've stated in the past that I'm not really happy with how frequently players are able to dose other characters on the default difficulty.

In the 6.0 release, I've made a simple change that doubles the material requirements of all MCS serums. This is a band-aid, and I don't intent for it to be the permanent fix for this. I just wanted to make sure to mention this change before the demo releases. I'm still testing the actual values, but you should expect functional serums to cost a little more to make starting in 6.0.

I'll have a post in the future as to what I'm looking at as a more permanent solution.
