All the politicians are real people, even the senator who killed himself because was being blackmailed because his son was gay. all the interviews and trials happened and are redoing of the footages. And the “present day” are sad and important, because is just 1982, and the right medication to treat HIDs was discovery in 1986, so in 1982 Tim is fitting to the government put money in the researcher, because they are not doing this yet. They are not even trying to find a cure.

2024-03-07 20:07:47 +0000 UTCGuys the clues for the periods are in the clothes. They are REALLY different of each other. (Seriously). I know you guys are not in to this, but the closest really change a lot. 1950- guys- they are always in suits, the hair are nicely done with gel. Tim uses Harry Potter glasses. Lucy have the curls hairs, and the 1950 curt of dress. Tight on the waist and big round skirts. Some times Tim is in his army uniform. 1968- a lot of fur, the hairs are loose. The next episode will be in 1979- so will be a lot of mini shorts, leather, moustache women’s ins trousers. And the 1982 (present day) Hawk have a fatty belly, uses a lot os shirts with short sleeve, the Hairs are bigger, the glasses are bigger too. The clothes are more colourful, a lot of tie day.

That means that Hawk delay his wedding with Lucy for almost two years because he met Tim. Because Tim said he would not accept that. So he delayed that till he could. They broke up. Tim goes to the army. In this episode we find out we came back about one or two years after and tried to make contact, but Lucy intervened.

This one was 1968, when a lot of important minority’s movements stand up. The important to know in this one is Lucy knows he is gay before having kids. So she could having asked for the divorce. And she knows Hawk loved someone named Tim. However she choose to stay and asked him to have sex with her, so she was married and didn’t have much sex, and asked him to “give her children”. Knowing he was gay, knowing he doesn’t want her. And twelve years after in 1968 she let him know she knows about “That man”, about the lies. And asked him to do outside home

Essentially we have: 1) the period of time right after Tim enlisted, left for training, returned and was not yet stationed anywhere overseas. Hawk/Lucy had gotten married and were then renovating the estate. (prior to kids) Tim is also seen here in those confessional flashbacks. 2) the time period after Tim left the army to enroll in seminary and we start the ep where his group is seen protesting the Vietnam war enforced draft. Lucy/Hawk have kids, who are around 11/8 yrs old 3) the 1980s (present-day) with Tim and Hawk in the hospital. The affair was during Lucy's trip to Europe that she told Hawk about in the previous ep when Lenny was found out to be queer. I.E. The story of the two men she encountered who were travelling companions and held hands over coffee. Lenny was not in this ep, the men we kept seeing Hawk with were the contractor and others working on the renovations to their estate. Her makeout at their party was not what she was referring to. To not potentially spoil anything, by this time in all three timelines, she is aware of Hawk and his interest in men, but had not yet been confirmed. Lucy had hunches based on her observations, then she read the letter. She also knew of Tim's existence, but they had never formally met.
